My goodness, Ray. You appear to be feeling awfully threatened by my post. If I was really being 'dismissive and reactionary' I wouldn't have spent so long explaining my take on things so thoroughly. I'm already well aware of your theology, so I was making you aware of mine in order for us to have a fully informed discussion.
Btw, where have I 'boldly warned others of their delusions'. I'm bringing certain dogmas into question and challenging your views. I welcome you to challenge mine. I wasn't at all offended by Allan's initial reaction. I knew exactly what to expect when I posted that first message.
And yes, my 'take' on things is very open and fluid. If you can 'prove' me wrong without quoting the epistles, go ahead. (Because I don't recognize the Bible as 'the final authority of God' like you do). Who knows, you may covert me.
Re: Paul's 'distortions of the gospel' - I didn't say that either. I'm saying he boxed it in and confined it - which is a whole nother subject I'll have to find time to go into at a later date.
