I always loved that scene in the movie "Harold and Maude" where they go to a fair and Harold gives a ring or something sentimental to Maude. They are sitting at the edge of the water and all of the sudden Maude flings it out into the lake. Harold is stunned and looks at her like "WHY???" but doesn't say a word. She says: " So I will always know where it is". Then there are fireworks. I love that film.
