A very touching story, Alan. One of those tear-jerkers.
I know I'm supposed to be focusing on the boy with the scars & his mother's love, & I do which is why I had to fight back the tears when I read it, but you know, I also wished I was that farmer with the gun. I'd probably have kept shooting that gater long after it was dead. :c)
