Hey sometimes if people need to be negative to process what happened to them, they need to be negative, With deep stuff like that, it's important to let people have their spontaneous reactions, and not suggest, dictate or steer them in anyway. That is something that was taken away from us. We were never allowed to have our own reactions but were forced to be positive and have the "victory" all the time, no matter what happened, and no matter what was being asked of us. Remember "Dumps?" We paid our dues, and if we don't sound that positive, I think we have a right to be.
Anyway, Not everything is what it seems. Sometimes people appear to be talking negative about the past, when inside they are actually feeling so much relief that they are wiser today. They are re-affirming they took the right steps and made the right decisions. They are acknowledging the fact that things that are not quite right in their lives can be traced back to the past, which they are now taking steps to rectify.
Patience, understanding and a little space, please?
