From what I remember, around 1970-71, I was going somewhere and there were two girls, one of them has even been referred to in some letter regarding the position she gave up and could have had that Maria got. Before that letter she mentioned something between herself and this other girl that was "selah" that they were not willing to do to get the position. Putting 2 and 2 together, I would say they rejected his sexual advances and his offer of being a new wife. Both were really cute, petite girls and young, girlish looking. I can't remember the name of the one that was offered the position, but the other person in the van was called "Mini Max" (for Maxine, I think.)
I also remember one very petite girl that was in L.A. and then at TSC. She was kept near the top. Also petite and pretty. She had a psychotic break and the family ended up sending her to I THINK Austin State Hospital. She never came back. I really do wish that people that were right at the top that have left and that know the background history of Berg in those earliest days and before would come forward with details. People that have left like Rachael or others. People like "Mother Eve" who know so much and could clear up so much.
