I would whole heartedly support that decision as he is one of the ones that suffered under her.
I would never suggest that he just 'forgive and forget'. Unless that is what he wanted to do.
The thing is, doing what she did and knowing that the whole older generation knows what she did in the Family, it seems to me her conscience wouldn't let her just live a normal life. I think I would turn myself in, go to jail and do the time for the evil that I did. Being sorry is about making things right, not just mumbling and crying about how sorry you are and how changed you are now.
