I saw it last night, and it was the most unforgettable experience I've ever had in a movie theater. It was like I was there, and could feel the agony, but most of all the love that was portrayed. It made me feel so much love and gratitude for Jesus, and gave me a connection with the salvation experience that it was for me personally. I think the violence was superceded by the beauty of Christ's love for the world, and His commitment to fulfilling the role He was born to play. I believe Mel Gibson was so inspired to produce this film, and it will bring so many people closer to understanding the reality of the cross and what it really means in a human setting. I was speechless after seeing the film, and meditated on it all day long and am still very much impacted by it. I have never had a film affect me as much as this one did. I do not recommend it for children.
