What is the reason, according to your opinion, that I am supposed to hate it?Like I said, I have plenty of books not necessarily always in line with my old way of thinking, however it makes me think...most of the times I try to "harmonize" things as much as possible with the given ("original") text...
An example of a somewhat "discomforting" book:"The Bible unearthed".Archeology's New Vision of Ancient Israel and the Origin of its Sacred Texts....Finkelstein/Silberman...The Free Press...
I found, that in general the range is very wide, how experts interpret things, not only in archeology, but in virtually any field, I imagine, relating to the Bible.I figure hermeneutics regarding the book of Job got richer through Jung thinking about it...however, I found also, that if I have an empty stomach, I need to eat something.
Jesus said, He is the living bread, the manna...
I don't need to study the deeper chemistry of nutrition before I eat something...you eat & you get satisfied, whether you understand it or not all about it ; ) ...yes, often I'd like to know more about HIS ways which are higher than ours...I guess it takes patience...patience comes through suffering....back to Job ; ) (ahem, & us!? in part
at least)
