Hi Susie,

Well, if a movie has plenty of good dialogue which helps me create a mental image of what's going on, I consider that to be a blind-friendly film.

When my wife and I go to a movie or watch a video or television show, she will give me descriptions of what is happening visually, when the dialogue is either minimal or totally absent. Of course if we are in a movie theater, she will whisper in my ear so as not to disturb others.

The Passion of Christ film has no understandable dialogue, (I'm a bit rusty with Latin, and Aramaic is a lost cause) so such a film is totally inaccessible.

I can get descriptive videos from the public library, which have someone doing verbal descriptions of the more visual kinds of films. We just watched "The Matrix Reloaded" with descriptive video, and it made the movie very understandable.
