It will be interesting to see the figures for the first weekend. I have no doubt they will be high. Then look to see if it has "legs" beyond the first weekend after all the church folks have seen it.

Looking at a list of the top 100 highest grossing films of all time, there are no religious films, unless you count "Bruce Almighty" starring Jim Carey at #30 with a $242 Million lifetime gross.

I'm talking no "The Ten Commandments" with Charleton Heston. Not even a "Jesus Christ Superstar", or "Godspell" in the top 100.

To get there, this film will have to do over $158 million to knock "The Frim" out of the #100 spot.

Just to give you an idea of what really sells in the top 100, "The Exorcist" is #37 with $232 Million.
