that would curl your hair while living in Brazil. They have a form of African/Brazilian voodoo called Macumba, which is commonly practiced all over the country.
I saw a woman take a drinking glass and eat it! She just started breaking off pieces of a glass drinking glass and chewing it into little pieces. She occasionally opened her mouth so observers could see the pieces of glass in her mouth, and there was no evidence of any cutting of her tongue or mouth whatsoever.
She was a priestess or something of Macumba, and did this while under the posession of a deamon. A man was also there, and he took hot coals out of a fire and began eating them. There was no evidence of any burning to his lips or mouth.
I'm sure many unusual behaviors can be explained by science and medicine, but there are some things that can not be explained away.
