I like the direction this is taking on journeys. There are many incl me that may have dealt with talking about family with professionals, but amongst ourselves, the support is something nothing else can replace. I want to thank Acheick, AG, Susie, Oldtimer, and others that are so supportive here. I will be writing more soon, but I would also like to here more about others experiences. Maybe some things standing out.
I have to say something here which is really great! I have had a lot of nightmares about the Family off and on over the years. But last night, after having done some writing here and gotten such supportive responses, I had a significant turn in a nightmare that became something positive.
I was somewhere like New Orleans and it was some big event going on and the family was out in force and it was obvious who they were but they were (as usual) not presenting themselves that way. First I walked down the sts and they had these big steel rods topped by a crystal ball and they were lining the sts doing a "prophet style" display, whacking the balls on the street causing cars in the far right lane to veer.
Then I went around a corner and there was a public speaking display with family in the crowd and a celebrity was there and people were getting sucked in and I stood up and yelled real loud:
Who wants to be associated with these people? They believe in masturbating to Jesus and their men and boys imagine themselves with vaginas asking Jesus to fuck them? These are some crazy people who are extremely destructive because they follow a leader who channels Jesus and undead celebs." etc. In this one, it was the Fam mems that were cringing and absolutely shocked. It rained on their parade.
I guess the symbolism in this is that by supporting each other, we are kind of like that band of reject kids in the Stephen King book "It" and together we can fight the monster behind the saw toothed clown. Even if it simply in fighting the fallout in ourselves. Thank you all so much.
