I'll never forget something Jered Markoff of Love's Bridge posted on the exers board last fall. I can't find the post through a search of the archives, but it was a reprint of his & Christine's letter of resignation to Zerby. He essentially told the Zerboid & Co. that it doesn't seem wise to put more stock in something you receive in prophesy over what common sense tells you.
Another thought I have about all the constant "prayer" over such monumental events as going to the bathroom, emptying the garbage, scratching your head, etc., is that this activity is essentially ritualistic behavior. From a mental health perspective, ritualistic behavior may in some cases be seen as a way of managing anxiety. My gawd! What if you DIDN'T pray about the garbage, went ahead and emptied it, and then FAILED to "get" some essential message from your guardian angels about the antichrist's identity, whereabouts, and plans for total world domination?
