When you pull out a tic, you have to get the head. If you leave the head, even though the body is disgusting, bloody and gory, you've left what is causing all the poison and keeping the lifeblood flowing. Sure, its great to go after individual members, some are more guilty than others, even exmembers. But what happens is the body gets squished and oozes out, and the real brains of the matter keeps going, pouring out its venom and sucking out the lifeblood of future generations. Maria, Berg letters, the upper leadership, they are the ones that keep it going, without them, there would be no "Family."
I think more effort should be put on pressuring the F. and making it as an organization own up to its sins, mistakes, mind-control tactics and past and present abuses. They may have to run scared and hide, but sometimes when they do that, the leadership has to relinquish some of its control and more people are able to get out from under that spell and realize what a farce they've dedicated their lives to.
How much good does it do to go after exmembers who may or may not have had a hand in past abuses. The average exmember is licking its wounds, trying to get a life for their family, picking up the pieces, in terrible remorse for the years they wasted to a false dream, hating themslves for being so stupid and trying to adjust to a society they were programmed to hate and not be able to function in.
How much more blood do people want out of this remorseful lot. Now if someone is not remorseful and really did seriously hurt someone, such as in the Calif. court case that is being discussed, then bring them to justice and use it to bring down the F. as well. Otherwise, I would like to see the whole thing come crashing down so that future generations aren't being stuck in something that has nowhere for them to go. They either turn out to be loyalists, or they have to leave and leave their family behind, orphans in a sense and without any real life skills. That is the saddest thing. Once there are no first generations left, will we start going after individuals who were born in the F.? I see the leadership and the letters as the thing to go after and show it for what it is. What is the best way to go about doing that?
