This is deep stuff and very Aristotlian. Can you explain more about the distinction you are making between the first continuum and the second continuum? The way I understand the Aristotlian system (the first continuum), you're talking about two ends (1. flesh, 2. spirit) of a line that connects the poles. Since this concept has been around for about 3,000 years, it's not hard to understand how flesh & spirit both oppose and join each other at the same time.

I'm not familiar with the spirituality-philosophy continuum as a concept. Would you elaborate further on how spirituality on one end of the line is substantially different or distinct from philosophy at the other end? I can understand how they join, but I can't see how they differentiate or oppose each other.
