I honestly think the world would be so much better off if there was no religion at all.
That said, I respect anyone's decision to believe in Jesus, Buddha, or whatever rocks their world as long as they do not get the "I-have-the-corner-on-THE-truth" condescending attitude towards others. If a person truly believes in their chosen faith, they do not need to try to convince anyone else what theirs should be. That is my honest opinion. PD, I respect you for your journey and the truth you are finding for yourself. I think there is still, with some, that early family doctrine of a fervent need to convert others or that others will go to hell if they do not believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. Sounds Al-Quaeda-ish to me.
I think certain principles taught in many religions are beautiful, and many are attached to the given culture of the people where the religion originated from.
That is what I honestly believe.
So for all the Christians that post here, I respect your right to believe what you do as long as it does not turn into what everyone else should do or they are somehow "lost" or "less than".
