I have some very close friends who are deeply religious, one a mormon, the other a Christian missionary. They both know my stance on religion, the one (who is a mormon) saw me go through my departure from the group and knows a lot about my past, the other doesn't hardly know anything.

I've asked myself the same thing, do I look down on others for their belief in Christ? And I think I can honestly say that I don't, as long as it's not pushed on me or I am not made to feel inferior for my choice not to believe in it.

Once it is being pushed on me, or feel that someone is condescending toward me, that is the point I lose respect for the person.

As a belief system, I think Christianity has a lot of good morals, direction, advice. But the way it has been interpreted by people, or people who may feel inferior and have used their religion to make themselves bigger or stronger or more powerful than others, this is what bothers me and turns me away from it.
