I think that many religions and especially more rigid cults condition people to think along the lines of their pet doctrines and/or perversions.
To me it is a very positive thing when a person searches out their own sense of belief and value system.
On this board, the search is spiritual but it is not necessarily Christian for everyone. And if it is, then it will happen. But I do understand the feeling of condescension when being "witnessed" to as if to come to "Christ" is the only way for everybody because it is the way of many exers that have left the family.
So my words of encouragement is for exers to follow and discover their own paths. That is the only thing that will mean anything really.
After watching "Les Miserables" the movie with Liam Neeson and Claire Danes, I loved, LOVED the principles the title character had. But I don't think those principles are limited only to Christianity. Or less-than if not identified with Christianity.
That is just how I think about it.
