altho i guess i can see how you might interpret it as flippant, but it honestly was intended to convey the thought that sg's initial exposure to jesus was indeed very unfortunate (unlucky) and i do hope he (or she?) will be more fortunate (lucky) in any future interactions w/ expressions of faith. i do not share "my experiences" as a template for anyone to follow. but it would be dishonest of me not to express my heartfelt beliefs, as just that, my beliefs. if i heartily recommend the trustworthiness of christ, i do it as a very poor representative of the way. i am one of those followers "whose cheese is always falling of my cracker" as brennan manning puts it. you won't catch me quoting paul, "be ye followers of me.." yikes. that is not only scary, but ridiculous.
