I think what confuses me about the whole "sin" issue is that it seems to be so defineable by the religion you are in, the country you are in, even the Christian sect you are part of. Each group has its own rules of right and wrong.
I try to keep it simple: follow the rules of the country, don't commit acts that are in violation of the rights of others or cause pain to others, protect children.
But do making mistakes = being evil? If so, then I am evil, if not, then I wouldn't consider myself evil, just a normal person who screws up but is trying to live a good life. And so it is hard for me to put the label of 'sinner' on myself, cause I truly don't see myself as a sinner, but as an imperfect human being who is trying to do better every day.
