cringing at love

I am the same about the 'love' word, I rarely ever use it, it just seems so dry and meaningless when it comes out my mouth.

If you follow the path of Christianity through the OT to the NT, it seems to me that the core of it is sin, therefore the need for Salvation. "For God so loved the world..." yes, it's true, but why couldn't we have Eternal life with God without Jesus? Because we are sinners and evil in His sight, so we must accept Jesus in order to be cleansed from our sin and received in God's presence.
