i did not accuse you of anything. i asked a question, as it appears as tho your reading of scripture is pretty straitforward evangelical of the you can lose your salvation variety.(pls. correct me if i'm wrong.) i see some support for that position in scripture. but i also see some support for other positions. frankly, at the moment it appears to me that the subject may be delibrately veiled... and attempts to state the case too emphatically on specifics that are at least somewhat ambiguous may do more harm than good. if an sg departs earth while still in a state of confusion, i cannot say they go directly to an eternal hell. can you? that is the question. not sure what about that so offensive, or why you would compare it to a cultic knee jerk. trying to think thru implications to theological positions. period. in what way is that unfair or unthoughtful? but i still don't know what you think. trying to find that out was the original purpose of my post. you clearly have wrestled w/ the issue, but seem to be comfortable w/ a position i still find troubling.
