Something that bothered me a lot was when they started regulating some of the meetings, what clothes to use, how to do things, who could be there then, hours and schedules, etc. I was in Lima, where Jethro was at the time of the RNR and was kicked out for being so churchy, but a few months later when the dust settled down, things were started to get even more regimented all over the place. It took me a few years to realize that TF was becoming one of the selfrighteous churches we had rebeleld against.
Those Sunday meetings became worse than church services, their mandated "inspsiration" time was robotic, their saturday wild parties were excuses for orgies among the priviledge and their guests. Their hellish little kingdom already had all the ills of society at large.
That is why I can't understand FGAs who remain in TF unless their ideals were more stronger on the line of personal gain and not in winning the world for Jesus. Nice little selfish people just like Maria and Peter.
Just on the side, I don't think that being selfish is necessarily a bad thing but that can be another discussion later.
