Excuse me for butting into your conversation, but it seems to me, Lydia, that what Miguel is doing by asking those questions is a very wise and healthy thing to do. In TF we were taught that to doubt and question were huge sins worthy of punishment. Personally, I have freed myself from that bondage of fear and it sounds like Miguel has too. In fact, it was doubting and questioning that enabled me to free myself from that cult.
It's great that you seem so certain about your beliefs Lydia, but why do you find it necessary to slur Miguel publicly. Is it because he is not as certain as you, or because he doesn't agree with you? Or perhaps his questioning makes you uncomfortable with your own certainty? It seems to me that we all "have issues" as you put it, so it's not necessary to single out Miguel and speak down to him like that. We all take different approachs to our "issues", and imo learning to ask the right questions is crucial. For the sake of debates such as this one going on here, it is much more helpful to focus on the ideas and issues rather than making it about the other person, as in "what a funny guy you are.... you really have issues".
