for the record, i have never denied the existence of hell, or that jesus taught on it. it is clearly a place to be avoided... and very unpleasant. who is there, what exactly it is, if all who die w/o a clear understanding and acceptance of of the evangelical message are going there to be tortured for all eternity,or if one who has trusted but fallen, etc, these i believe are points open for debate, or uncertainty. and in any case, that we are not exhorted to pronounce damnation ourselves, nor to sit around enjoying the fumes from those we choose to toast.
