Harry Potter is a series of books written about witchcraft, but everyone knows it's just fiction.
The Family GN's seem to be getting more into the occult and witchcraft (praying against your enemies - like cursing them, channeling, etc), their "teacher" is a witch like Jezebel... but one big difference... the Family believes them to be the absolute TRUTH and they expect their members to carry out it's principals on a daily basis and even memorize portions of them. Even their "spirit stories" and "spirit songs" are channeled from the netherworld and all is given out as spiritual FACT.
One is fiction... one is supposed to be absolute truth... but they seem the same in many ways.
