I was sorta in show biz. Along with giving up clothes, I remember having to discard ot burn photos of my previous life as a perfomring artist. They said it all fed my pride and reminded me of the old system life, and I should let go of it all. I wonder why Jeremy Spencer got to keep some of his photos as a testimony of his past system life whereas I had to burn mine. The thing about Jeans was that Macau was a WS hot spot what with Ho and the (Animal?) Farm and all, and we were expected to put on an appearance of being respectable citizens, not bearded hippies or riff raff.
If you were in the HK area. where there was lots of money, and most people wore suits, you'd stick out too much with such a jacket I guess. All in all they were just paranoid, and made you live their paranoia.
