Mr. Don, if I'm not mistaken it appears that this Psalm dedicated to the soldiers in Iraq is a strong statement against people who speak out against the war. Is that what you mean? If so I can only guess what this is intended to mean:
This isn't a foreign devil spitting invective--I could tune that out. 13It's you! We grew up together! You! My best friend!
And two verses later:
15Haul my betrayers off alive to hell--let them
experience the horror, let them feel every desolate detail of a damned life.
What next? A veiled political battle quoting scriptures? Posts with titles like 'For our politicians who put our soldiers in harm's way' & then quoting 2 Samuel 21:1-6 leaving you to guess who 'Saul' is & who the 'Gibeonites' are? I thought we were supposed to put a stop to this.
