I have the same attitude, to have peace at every step of the way. Maybe it is just because we have been burned a few times and are being careful now trying to check and double check before moving ahead.

About my children, they were 1 and 3. Until a few months ago they didn't know anything other than the zeal and maybe even extremist views and attitudes they witnessed growing up. The youngest doesn't care at all about anything related to TF and my daughter was rather amused but shocked. Still she hasn't asked me much. I don't know how much she investigated but I gave her this site and movingon to read, and she reads a lot.

What I have seen in both of them is that they are more impacted on our present but whenever questions, or situations they don't understand, come around, the past helps explain them. In other words, they are able to understand me a whole lot more and easier than before. For example, when I have talked about going to help move a family I don't know, they accepet it and have even helped me. Bedfore, they just could not understand it. If nothing else, they are getting very involved in providing help to those less fortunate in our little community. It is great to see how little seeds grow. And I am not one to go to church at all but I do get involved.
