In Reply to: Coordinator, I have some questions for you posted by Alan on July 18, 2004 at 15:11:33:

It should not matter whether Miguel has or hasn't used multiple handles. It was completely within our guidelines to use multiple handles. It still is.

On the other hand, it is against our policies to reveal such private information--We do not reveal information about who has or hasn't used multiple pen names. Everyone here is guaranteed anonymity to other posters unless they allow others to know that information themselves, whether intentionally or not.

Recently we updated our policies to define abuse and malicious use of our site and services. Now we've ammended the rules to say that malicious use of the cover of anonymity is not permitted. If we should find anyone breaking that rule, we can warn them privately or publicly, and/or ban them; and we still will not be obligated to reveal whether or not certain individuals here have or haven't used multiple pen names.

Let's put it this way: You wouldn't be wrong to suspect 95% of the posters having used more than one name at some time or other.

Please take the "over your head" issue up with Miguel. It has nothing to do with me/us. Maybe he is arrogant, or maybe he is cryptic. Take your pick and pick it up with him.

I don't know to what "personal friendship" you refer, but we are to our best of knowlege being impartial as possibly can be.

Yes, Alan, please interpret this: I am saying you could be correct and/or incorrect. Do you find that unacceptable?
