Sorry, and please know that I do not intend to offend you, and I am a Bible-believing Christian too, but I'm sort of left with the feeling that you didn't read PD's post carefully enough. She asked some difficult, honest questions and described some heartbreaking abuse and I feel she didn't really need to be told, "But remember that you have to ask with a good willing heart as a child with a smile asks his father food or protection."
I believe PD does have "a good willing heart" but has seen the danger of what completely trusting faith can do. Look at even us FGs, how simple trusting really wrecked part of our lives. I do not think there are easy pat answers to some of these questions.
I apologize if I have misunderstood your position. Maybe you simply didn't explain what you meant to say?
