For a long time I used to explain that meditation was sort of prayer. I came to realize that what many who meditate understand meditation in a diversity of ways, then the same also happens with prayer. More to the point, in the Bible the word meditation appears frequently enough in the sense of being a prayer of some sort. I have sometimes written prayer-like poems, or poem-like prayers, which were literaly pouring out from the deepest parts of my self. In many cases I have treated them with awe as a form of "speaking in tongues", which require interpretation. Yet I do understand their meaning that seems hid to others. I am fascinated by the word and its multiple values and shades, I wish I were a poet.

So, what can prayer be? Is it yet another form of subjective empowerment like praying the rosary?
