I like you examples. I can relate with most of them, even the "flattening" of the eye :-) I've tried it a few times but it's scary and not my thing. But the very samething has worked for me in relationship to headaches. Maybe Porceleindoll will find this interesting for his health column. I udes to have bad migraines and that technique brought in some relief.

I totally understand the "going into neutral" state and it is so well put. That's why I think poetry is a way for us to connect with spiritual realities.

I am interested in the idea that so many types of activities can be the trigger to that "mood" we are talking about. I had never thought of it but it seems very possible. I also have that problem of so many thoughts constantly running in my mind but I am aware that it is not so for everybody.

Prayer and spiritual communion is to me the most important type of event in human life and discovering its implications and workings one of the wonderful mysteries of God.
