I haven't read anything by Kiergegaard in well over 20 years, so you'll have to help me out. What is the risk involved in taking the plunge of faith? What do we stand to lose if we choose faith over the alternative? Disappointment when God fails to meet my expectations? If I choose not to believe, I also risk disappointment over the hand that fate or evolution or random chance has dealt me.
