I like your concept of giving meaning to life, I have to think about it a little more.
As for me, it's not that I don't think there is no driving force in the universe, a god or eternal being or greater power, it's just that I don't care that much cause I haven't seen that power work on my side or be there for me.
And so I choose to disregard it for now and live my life according to my own actions and decisions, not based on how I think a higher being would like me to live.
