i do seem to keep coming round to that a lot! (maybe it's good, maybe it's not..who knows??)
cs lewis brought up the existence of some universally accepted sense of general principles of right and wrong as an evidence to a transcendant design in humanity. interesting thought.
but even when you say "don't harm children", most of us would define those islamic madrasis as abusive. he might tell us tv is sending your kids to hell. (some days, i might agree w/ him!) But if it is all just random molecular activity soon to reorganize itself into different chemical arrangements, really, what does it matter? may as well be moses david as mother theresa. it's just a bit of carbon, or subatomic particles/waves.
but if there is indeed a design, then clearly, trying to get in sync w/ it is worth the effort, it would seem to me.
