I believe you about your recovery, Mr. Don. I think that living on the outskirts for so many years, you probably didn't have as much to process as some of us. I know that with my hubby it was much easier for him to 1) get out from under the fear of DB and a judgmental God and 2) to move on in life and leave it all behind. It was much, much harder for me, almost unbearable. But he did not go through the things I did, though he did experience some awful crap at the hands of unscrupulous supposed leaders of God's children. He was like you in that he was often a hanger on, living on his own and the transition was very easy for him when we left.

It is true that there are horror stories coming out of the exer SGA community that you probably were never aware of and didn't realize how bad it had gotten. I know that if you were TRF supporting, you only received minimal mailings that really said nothing except to keep tithing with millions of scriptures on not doubting and keeping the faith. I know because I saw them from a friend of mine who was a TRF supporter for a couple of years. So I can believe you that you likely did not know all the goings on within TF once you were living on your own. Please don't get discouraged.
