I talked to my son on his cell phone a few hours before the hurricane was to make landfall. He went on a patio so I could here the wind. He's in Ft. Pierce right where the eye is now passing over. He found a fellow student to stay with, the buiding they're in, his friends apt., has metal protective barriers that clip over the windows. When I talked to him the electricity was down, but his cell phone still worked.
