I too left many people whom I love and respected for their sincerity to the truth. They may not have been able to take it all but were willing to at least consider other points of view. The vast majority were uninterested in looking at other interpretations.
After leaving I have wondered if that is just normal human nature because you also find the same thing in the general populations.
Many people prefer to stay with what little they know but which makes them comfortable so that are unwilling to listen other interpretations.
