"Lydia, do you always know what's good for your kids?
At every instance of life???More than God??"
What kind of questions are those? Did I ever say that I know whats best for my kids at every instance? Did I say I know more then God?
What is your point?
You say you believe I'm a woman that trusts God, well that is true. I also trust God when He moves my heart to pray for my kids or to take action when I know they need me.
I'm not going to sit around and think "well their all grown up now, so no need to worry about them anymore" .
That is not a good parent.
Let me ask you, if God is a good "Father" then don't you think He should just leave us alone? Why should we pray or ask Him anything if as you say, we are no longer accountable as parents once our children pass some magic age. Why does God seem interested in our precious lives until the day we die and beyond?
Is He a terrible example of a parent?
I never suggested always interfering, and I know my kids find joy in my concern and love for them. They know I would do anything for them, and try never to let them down.
That doesn't mean I'm always interfering either, but as a parent, if I see danger signs, I don't hesitate to speak.
If you love God, then you have to also trust Him when your heart moves for your kids, when they need you.
I'm not a soft touch, if they have to learn through experience so be it.
But if you did nothing to warn them, or help them, just what kind of parent are you pretending to be?
