I don't mean to say that this is an easy thing. It's not.

If we say, as I do, that healing is provided in redemption (THE revelation of the New Testament), then those who seem not to be able to enter into it may feel condemnation or frustration. But if we say, as you do, that God might be opposed to, or indifferent to our healing in some cases (that can only be understood by special, direct revelation), does that not lead to the same condemnation or frustration, or worse?

1 Pt. 2:24 says "by His stripes [we] WERE healed" (1 Pt. 2:24). This isn't to say that sickness doesn't still exist in the world, or that believers are always immune from it. But I contend that it is something that is always to be resisted as something Christ has ALREADY BORNE on our behalf.

I don't claim to fully walk in what He purchased for us. Sometimes what I believe to be eternal truth abolutely flies in the face of my present reality. But isn't that the point?
