Anyone attend a Fellowship?

Notice how I avoided using the word "church" because we've been trained to have such a knee-jerk reaction to it. Our immediate thought is, "the church is the people, not the building" which is why I used the word Fellowship, meaning the people.

We generally go, tho if we just feel lazy we sleep in. There are some great people there, a mostly teen to 50 crowd, real people who've been through the hard knocks of life or are going through them right now, the music is a bit on the Rock side, the songs all new, nothing traditional, the pastor is a down to earth guy. It's a non-denominational church with solid down to earth teaching and they always avoid talking about politics.

Contary to the standard view of hypocritical starchy pew-sitters this place is alive, very relaxed blue-jeansy non-conformist, the kind where you can drink coffee during the service and the whole body gets involved in helping the community in practical ways. It suits me.
