disturbing,...in trouble

I don't see that big a gap between what we are saying. I also believe that we still deal with the effects of fallenness, not only in the world around us, but also in ourselves, and that the whole picture will not come together completely till Jesus returns. In the meantime, as you say, we do have to live by trust/faith. Sometimes, we're not capable of that, and God intervenes anyway.

It's not clear to me what it is you find so disturbing, or why you think we're in trouble "if His salvation goes by the same rules or standard of faith that healing does".

The two are exactly the same; purchased by the exact same intercessory act by Christ (see verses in my answer to Oldtimer, below). I think if we could "feel" unsaved in the same way that we feel sickness or pain, our faith for salvation might vacillate in the same way that our faith for healing does.

Maybe I'm misreading what you're saying, but what concerns me in what you're saying is the heavy dependence on personal revelation about who should get healed, and who should stay sick, and for what reason.
