Everything about us was affected by the fall -- mind, spirit, body. In order for us to be made whole, redemption has to touch all of those areas.

To give you one simple example of how salvation and healing are interchangeable in the NT, take the Greek word, "sozo":

In Ro. 10:9, it's translated "saved", Mk. 6:56, īt's "made whole", Mk. 5:23 - "healed", Mk. 16:16 - "saved", Lk. 8:36 - "healed", Ac. 2:21 - "saved", Ac. 14:9 - "healed", Ep. 2:8 - "saved", Lk. 18:42 - "saved", Ja. 5:15 - "save", Mk. 5:34 - "made whole", Mk. 5:28 - "be whole", Lk. 17:19 "whole", Ac. 4:4 "whole", Ac. 4:12 - "saved".

On top of that, Jesus is called "the Savior of the body" in Eph. 5:23.
