I thought the article of whatever1037 at movingon to be quite useful:

The spiritual link to Jezebel in Rev.2:20 was always "dear to me"...but I appreciated him making a search, what the name could entail/mean.

Poor fellow happens to get a lot of flak & even from some, who consider themselves Christians...oh dear...what all has been done in the name of Christianity...

To top all that, one FG contributed what could/would be the origin of the last name/surname. Oh my, I shrink, another indication, that Germany produced far too many BSing "leadertype"-people.Some time ago, I read a theory, a rumor, that Hitler could have been born in Germany. When the day of delivery came, they argue, that the nearest hospital in Austria was occupied, so that they made it across the border, the mother delivered there & then they returned.
Not that I care too much...I have a biography of
Nietzsche in my "poison"-department of my "library"...bookshelves...he was another one &
Luther's contribuitions are also quite debatable.
Sigh...

Here's a link to "dear old Zerben"...a rinky dinky town/village of hardly 400 inhabitants...you mean the forefathers of Karen came from there???...I know from my own name, that up there they chose more the Scandinavian form of an otherwise common name...anyone know more about her???

PS To me it was rather "likely", that the name showed some link to Serbian ancestorship...I apologize for "blaming" those people
