If you read some of the posts by myself or other coordinators, you'll see that everyone thinks they have it bad here. Christians and non-Christians alike, left and right leaning alike. They all complain we're giving too much room to the other "side."
I disagree that our admin is pre-dominantly left leaning. I think enerally we're pretty center, and so nobody is happy with us. I also think that we're doing our best to emphasize that exFamily.org is not a Christian board nor a non-Christian board, nor is it a place for debating politics (Soapbox was a temporary experiemnt).
We can allow some discussion of politics only if it is related for example, to specifics about Berg and what he taught. Politics was a big part of Berg's teachings, and he borrowed a lot of ideas from everywhere. Some of what he taught what can be understood to be socialist, fundamentalist, left, right, liberal, anarchistic, etc etc, whatever it took to keep his cult together.
I'll repeat my old tired joke: "you know we're being fair when just about everybody thinks we're giving too much to the other side."
This is not an easy job, we have a lot to do, and we don't always catch everything that goes on. From time to time we might "allow" something because we missed it, and "disapprove" of something because we happened to catch it. Give us some patience and understanding.
Happy New Year!
