The Family practices a doctrine sometimes referred to as "deceivers yet true". Throughout their history they have not hesitated to conceal their identities and motives to outsiders. They will say anything to "win" a soul, and so just because this woman said she doesn't believe in sex before marriage doesn't mean she's not connected to The Family, or is even telling the truth about that.

This is my personal opinion, but I think you are far better off sticking to the atheism you were brought up with. You were obviously raised to have some healthy skepticism and that's what has alerted you to this woman's strange ways, whether she's in TF or not. It is not true that only religious people are good or moral. Check out the principals of humanism and you'll see that you can achieve far more good in this world through its tenets than through religion, with all its tragic consequences.
