Perhaps an integral part of the 'wake-up' process is God's Blessing & Leading. The one thing that most powered our very turbulent self extraction from 'the family' was the daily, continual, encouraging answers to prayer and provision. God simply led and blessed us and that was so sweet to see that He wasn't going to snuff us out or turn His back on us as leadership had threatened. We were with 7 children living in a small travel trailer (8 after The Lord's clever plan to get our oldest back days before she was to 'disappear'.) God led us so gently and bountifully daily, that was the confirmation we needed & kept us going. The other matters of right and wrong took time...lots of time. One specialist on cults has said it takes approximately as much time to undo the damage as the time you spent in...for myself that's 20 yrs.
