I know some SGs who suffered physical and sexual abuse, yet who retained their faith in Jesus, and I know some FGs who were not abused, who jettisoned their faith after leaving the cult. I agree with Ray though that even those of us who still have faith often have to throw out large chunks of what we had previously thought was "truth."
