We had a beautiful situation in Germany and had found a good church...thought we'd never leave.
My Mom had a stroke and The Lord led us to move to Tx. to help them out.
I worked as a manager in several plants across the Rio in Mex. 'till The Lord showed me to kick the habit (I was a corporate junkie...long story for another time.) By His grace & courage, I started my own little landscaping business with one chain saw & a borrowed ladder. I now have over 500 customers and range over several counties, owning my own equipment and paying my own taxes. The most rewarding part of it all is being able to have teens work with us who need just a helping hand to get started in life. Our 18 yr old works with me full-time & its very rewarding. The 16 & 14 yr olds do good in school. The 12 yr old is a 'downs' angel and doing well, two gold medals in Special Olympics Bowling...I'm a coach.
The youngest girl is 21, has great jobs in Holland and is just coming out from under the cloud. The 24er has found great satisfaction living in London and not bitching about the bad old days anymore. The oldest, Jasmine, committed suicide two yrs. after her mate was killed in soccer violence in Holland...a long and winding story.
My first wife remains in leadership in TF and we have good contact.
My oldest son with her just completed 7 yrs with TF in Africa, Is getting married to a great gal in Chile and DV. having the next gen. soon.
My other guy with her is now 7 yrs in the Navy and doing well with exception of distant relation with his Creator.
And we try to hear from Jesus daily, without getting pretentious and are happy if He chooses to use us to help others.
